Travel was something that Noongar people did a lot of in traditional times, they created many tracks and pathways through the landscape. The Six Seasons sculptures located at the entry pathway at Dayton Primary School mark the layers of meaning, and opportunities for change, growth and development that seasonal change offers. Located more centrally within the school is Doak , a 4 meter high carved jarrah pole surrounded by 14 seats. Each of the different colored seats represent the seated members of the
fourteen Noongar language dialects; Amangu, Ballardong, Yued, Kaneang, Keong, Mineng, Njakinjaki, Njuga, Bibbelmen, Pindjarup, Wardandi, Whadjuk, Wiilman and Wudjari.
